There are 3 parts to the name. The “Co” is short for words like “connect,” “contain,” “collaborate” and “communicate.” The “Base” refers to it being a database. KRM is short for “knowledge relationship management,” maintaining the relationship among knowledge assets: observations, files, analyses and models and other products of analysis.
